A present by the 2015 graduates to the 2016 graduating class

On January 11, 2016, the Abitur class of 2015 donated wonderful couches and an ottoman to the Upper Level students at the German School Washington. Just in time before the Abitur, the students in this year's 12th grade and their fellow students from the Upper Level were able to lounge in comfort on the new couches and could draw a deep breath before everything started up. The couches were financed with money from the Abitur class that last year's Abitur students raised with their energetic fundraising efforts.

Former students from the Abitur class of 2015, the class teachers, and some of the parents were present for the “test drive” at the dedication ceremony. During recess, the current students in the Upper Level confirmed that they find the new sofa simply brilliant.

The three cushions in school colors clearly symbolize who the generous donors are. The former students hope that they will be remembered kindly by the following classes and teachers and they certainly will!

The students of the Abitur class of 2015 wish the current Upper Level students many nice and comfortable moments in the new “couch corner”!
