Unveiling of the 60th Anniversary Paper Dove Community Art Project

The GISW 60th Anniversary Celebration on October 23rd included the unveiling of our 60th Anniversary Paper Dove Community Art Project. Inspired by the creativity of German Artist Michael Pendry, this ongoing project is an effort to gather together members of our school community during our 60th anniversary year to work jointly on creating a piece of living artwork that mirrors the dynamic nature of our school and the people who give it life, purpose and meaning.  The exhibit will remain hanging in the school auditorium for the remainder of the school year.  Our mission in the coming days, weeks and months is to reach out to our alumni from across the decades and invite them to contribute a message and add their paper dove to our growing flock.  Please share the following google form link with at least one former GISW student, teacher, staff member or parent of a GISW student and encourage them to submit a message.  Let’s re-establish a connection to those in our community with whom we have lost contact.
