“Schnupperkurs“ - Introduction to German language and culture for kids ages 5 - 9

SPARK for German is a joint project of the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) and the Goethe-Institut. It offers a playful approach to both learning and teaching German in after school programs. There are 130 SPARK Labs in the U.S.

The German International School Washington D.C. (GISW) launched SPARK in Spring 2023, encouraging our senior immersion students to reach out and spark an interest in German language and culture through play and in context (e.g. STEM, arts, sports, Christmas market). The GISW and the GLC are delighted to inform you about future paths of learning German.
