The Shakespeare Theater Company and the German International School Washington D.C.

Mr. Simon Godwin, Artistic Director at The Shakespeare Company,  accepted Ms. Cropsey's invitation to meet her seventh- and eighth-graders who are reading Shakespeare's plays The Twelfth Night and Macbeth. On Monday, March 22, Mr. Godwin spoke about the ways directors are " reading" Shakespeare's plays, and answered students' questions. It was a vivid and friendly atmosphere! And it was a true honor to meet Mr. Godwin!

Simon Godwin is an English theatre director based in Washington, D.C., where he is currently serving as Artistic Director of the Shakespeare Theatre Company. Previously he was based in London, serving as Associate Director of London's National Theatre, Associate Director of the Royal Court Theatre and Associate Director at Bristol Old Vic.
