On June 9, 2022, our 29 graduates were awarded the German International Abitur in a festive ceremony. We would like to thank Mr. Michael Hasper, Head of the Department of Communication and Culture at the German Embassy in Washington D.C., who along with our Head of School Ms. Annegret Jung-Wanders and our Upper Level Coordinator Ms. Annette Schauss handed out the Abitur certificates.
Dr. Guido Müller additionally awarded various certificates from the STEM field.
After a speech by teacher Mr. Thomä, which allowed us all to partake in memories from the last two years, two mothers of the graduating class, both alumnae of our school, who are good friends, spoke: Ms. Patricia Berg and Ms. Heike Reichelt. It is wonderful to hear how the close friendships that form in our school last for years, whether one stays in the area or lives in different places around the world.
Parent representative Mr. Thomas Lüttge gave our graduates good advice for their lives, which can be very useful in their studies, their career as well as in their personal lives.
As the crowning finale, graduate Niki A., who has been at our school since preschool, played a song on the piano and accompanied it with his beautiful voice (see video). Fantastic!
