Students' Art: Looking forward to the Spring and beyond!

Painting Motives:  What are you wishing for?

The FRIENDS of the GISW are inviting all GISW students to participate in an Art Contest to create paintings showing  what they are looking forward to the most when thinking ahead about Easter 2021 and beyond: finding Easter eggs, enjoying flowers in Spring, or (actually) getting together with friends in Summer!  All the activities that we took for granted before, but which now seem so rare  and exciting!  

All Students are encouraged to submit their drawings by or before March  26, 2021 by4 h pm.   A panel of judges will select pieces of art to create a calendar, which will be printed by the FRIENDS to be distributed among the GISW community, These works will also  be displayed in a virtual exhibition on our FRIENDS Website.  Voluntary donations received for the calendars will  be used to fund FRIENDS’ projects that will benefit our school and community, and the winners will have their art displayed for all to see and enjoy!

Participants:      GISW Students from all Grades (K to 12th)

Theme:                 Easter 2021 and Beyond: What are you wishing for?

Submission:        Actual drawings must be submitted at school in an envelope (no digital submission), with name  and  grade of the student in pencil on the back. Please include on the envelope the name, grade, age of the student, telephone number and the emails of parent and of student. Envelopes should be deposited in a marked box, located at the entrance of the upper school.

NEW Deadline:             Drawings must be submitted by Friday March 26, 2021 at 4 pm.
