The transition to the Upper School marks an important change for our students. After four years of Elementary School students enter the 5th Grade, also known as the Orientation Level (Orientierungsstufe).
The Middle School Level at the GISW spans grades 6 – 10. In the twelve-year course of education that leads to the German International Abitur (DIA), the 10th grade serves a dual function.
Our Oberstufe consists of grades 10 – 12. In addition to the German graduation exam (Abitur), our students obtain a U.S. High School Diploma.
Curricula and grading criteria for several subjects will be posted here.
