Monday through Friday: 10 am to 3 pm
First Day of School:
For School Entry Level (5-year-olds) and Grade 2 through 12: Thursday, August 20th, 2026
For Preschool and first Grade: Monday, August 24th, 2026

Collaboration of the GISW with other German Schools in the US and in Canada

Our school is one of 140 German Schools Abroad located around the globe. Eight of these schools are in the US and in Canada. As a region we work closely with one another when it comes to Preschool Concepts, Preparation for the Abitur, crafting regional curricula and we are now also starting to collaborate in the area of marketing. From March 21st to the 23rd, the annual regional network seminar took place at the German International School New York where board members, Heads of Schools and Directors of Administration of our region had productive exchanges and returned to their schools with new impulses.
