Dear school community,
During its constituent meeting on September 29, the Parent Council for the 2021/2022 school year filled its offices - as far as was possible - in accordance with the bylaws. The names of the elected officers can be found in the member area of the GISW website under ABOUT US > Parents’ Council > Elected Officers.
As the newly elected SEBR Chair and Deputy Chair, we welcome you to the 2021/22 school year and look forward to a good working relationship between students, parents, faculty, and the Board of Directors of the German School Society.
As many parent representatives were elected to the SEBR for the first time this year, we would like to express our sincere thanks to you, and our departing members, for your willingness as volunteers in the school community to take on, or for having taken on, this task. Our special thanks to last year’s chair Mrs. Erin Owen for her tireless effort and dedication. We look forward to, and are grateful for, her continued service on many of the committees. We would also like to thank the deputy chair Mrs. Sedlmayer, and we wish her well in her new role as bookstore manager.
We are pleased that many new families have become a part of our school community since the beginning of the school year, we would like to take this opportunity to refer you to the communications flow chart from the 2018/2019 school year, which is still valid. It is a good starting point if you have questions about the school and are asking yourself "who do I contact about what?". The charts can be found under the following link:
The Communications flow chart can be accessed here.
We, as the Parent Council, are of course also always available for questions and suggestions. We look forward to an exciting, varied and healthy school year 2021/2022 and hope for lively participation!
On behalf of the Parent Council,
Matthias Molitor and Vicky Twinn
