Campus tours will resume once the new school year begins on August 20. We would be delighted to welcome you for a private tour. Please contact admissions@giswashington.org to schedule your visit.
First Day of School:
For School Entry Level (5-year-olds) and Grade 2 through 12: Thursday, August 20th, 2026
For Preschool and first Grade: Monday, August 24th, 2026

Christmas Market: Cake Buffet
The Friends of the German School are planning a cake buffet for the Christmas Market on December 3, 2016. All proceeds from the sale of the delicacies will be used for school projects.
What makes the cake buffet so successful? YOUR CAKE DONATIONS!!!
We kindly ask for four to five homemade cake-, pie- or cookie donations
from each class!
The cakes can be dropped off either at the cafeteria on Friday, December 2, 2016 between 8:00 am and 1:30 pm or on the day of the German Christmas Market at the cake counter no later than 10:00 am. Please use plastic platters which can be picked up in the cafeteria during the week following the Christmas Market.
We kindly ask you to attach a note with the name and ingredients of your contribution. This will make the choice for many connoisseurs much easier!
