Student Essay: Last week on Earth-Day I went for a walk and observed nature. The trees, the animals and the plants. I thought about how much people litter and that many many animals are becoming endangered in the sea because the trash and the plastic are floating around, sea turtles choke on the plastic bags thinking it’s a jelly fish and many types of whales, dolphins and sharks get tangled up in the nets people leave floating around. They’re called ghost nets. I thought about how much better the world would be if we recycled more. I watched a video and it showed you can recycle plastic bottles and make bird feeders for the birds. I would like to go with my friends to help clean up beaches and the ocean and take away all that plastic!
