First Day of School:
For School Entry Level (5-year-olds) and Grade 2 through 12: Thursday, August 20th, 2026
For Preschool and first Grade: Monday, August 24th, 2026

Invitation to the Second Regular Membership Meeting
Dear Members of the German School Society,
I cordially invite you to the second regular Membership Meeting of the school year 2020/21 which will be held on
Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
This meeting will take place online via video conference, as a meeting of this size is currently not permitted according to CDC guidelines. Should these guidelines change during the next weeks, we will let you know in due time. (Link and instructions to join the meeting to be provided.)
According to the By-laws of the German School Society Washington D.C., the Membership Meeting attains a quorum if at least one eighth of the Membership is present. In the event that a quorum is not reached, I would like to invite you, in accordance with the By-laws (§10 (2)), to another Membership Meeting on
Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 7:15 p.m.

Motions put forth by members must be submitted to the Board no later than 5 days before the Membership Meeting which, in this case is Saturday, April 24th, 2021. Please send your motions to vorstand@giswashington.org. Simultaneous translation is available.
