Live-Stream Link for Saturday

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Dear Friends of the German International School Washington D.C.,

On September 11, 1961, a small group of dedicated parents founded the "German School Washington" for 33 students, which today has grown into our "German International School Washington D.C." with over 500 students.  On the occasion of this anniversary, we cordially invite you to join our festivities on Saturday, October 23, 2021. We have put together an interesting and diverse program to celebrate our school on this special birthday.  It is our special honor and pleasure to welcome the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United States, Dr. Emily Haber, and Member of the Bundestag, Ulla Schmidt.  We are also very much looking forward to a visit and speech by German mixed media artist Michael Pendry at our 60-year anniversary celebration.

The celebration will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm EST for a limited number of invited guests in our school auditorium. The entire two-hour program will be live-streamed via YouTube to include everyone who wishes to join in the festivities from all around the world.

For those requiring simultaneous German or English interpreting services, the program will be broadcast via zoom.  Please use the following zoom link for interpreting to listen to the program in German or English only.  We look forward to celebrating this important milestone with you.

Warm regards,

Annegret Jung-Wanders, Head of School

German International School Washington D.C.[

Dennis Fehr, Chair of the Board of Directors
