Campus Tours:
Campus tours will resume once the new school year begins on August 20. We would be delighted to welcome you for a private tour. Please contact admissions@giswashington.org to schedule your visit.
First Day of School:
For School Entry Level (5-year-olds) and Grade 2 through 12: Thursday, August 20th, 2026
For Preschool and first Grade: Monday, August 24th, 2026

Nature Materials Collection Action
The Arts & Crafts Group is calling for a Nature Materials Collection Action! 🌿🍂✨
Did you find a cool pine cone on your last walk in the woods that’s just too good to keep in your pocket? Or maybe there’s the perfect piece of bark in your garden for an Advent wreath? Bring it on!
We’re looking for:
- Pine cones (big, small, or quirky)
- Pretty branches (with or without corners and edges)
- Moss and birch bark
- Acorns, beechnuts, walnuts, and everything nature has to offer!
Why?
Because we want to create beautiful, creative, and unique Advent wreaths with sustainability and plastic avoidance in mind – and we need your finds for that! So get out into nature, keep your eyes peeled, and bring anything that will put our craft group in the Christmas spirit.
Drop-off:
Daily, there will be a collection box at the craft workshop, right by the bus depot!
