School Entry Level visits Heidelberg Bakery

The school entry level went on a sweet and fun trip to the Heidelberg bakery in Arlington. The students were greeted in the bakery by master baker Mr. Büchler and by a delicious smell of fresh baked goods.

Colorful icing was used to demonstrate how to make roses and decorate a cake. Upstairs, in the main bakery, we watched a doughnut machine making tasty doughnuts and big sheets of chocolate cookies were pushed into a large oven. Of course, we got to try the freshly baked treats and observed other machines, like the dough roller.

Fully loaded with giant pretzels, cakes and other delicacies, we arrived back at the school in time for lunch. However, noobody was very hungry after a sweet field trip like that.
