Dear Students of Grades 8 through 12,
We have been receiving requests from parents asking if there are any students who would be willing to offer some tutoring over the summer – most likely for students from to SEL through 5th grade. Perhaps you would enjoy helping fellow students keep up with their classes, or maybe just conversing with younger students in German to keep their language skills fresh. Tutoring sessions can take place online (unless otherwise agreed upon), so you can work from the comfort of your own home or from your vacation spot without needing to organize transportation to and from the lesson. It’s a great way to keep busy while earning some money over the summer. High School students: tutoring always looks good on a college application!
If you are interested in the opportunity to become a tutor, please have a parent or guardian send your name, contact e-mail, phone number, and the subjects you would like to tutor in to either Ms. Schweitzer at uschweitzer@giswashington.org or to Ms. Fabina at counselor@giswashington.org. Your information will then be posted on a list in the password-protected area on the website, and will only be visible to GISW families. Summer is almost here, so please sign up by Monday, June 14th!
Kind regards,
Klara Fabina und Ulrike Schweitzer
