Campus tours will resume once the new school year begins on August 20. We would be delighted to welcome you for a private tour. Please contact admissions@giswashington.org to schedule your visit.
First Day of School:
For School Entry Level (5-year-olds) and Grade 2 through 12: Thursday, August 20th, 2026
For Preschool and first Grade: Monday, August 24th, 2026

tiptoi books and pens
Dear Parents,
We have tiptoi books in our Preschool library, which you can borrow anytime (opening hours: Mondays and Thursdays from 1:45pm to 4pm). In order to use these books, you will need to purchase your own special pen called tiptoi pen, because the book it interactive. This pen allows you to activate the different functions of the book. If you don’t have a pen and would like to purchase one, the pens are available at Amazon.de. Amazon is shipping orders to the US.
Tiptoi is an innovative learning system that allows children to discover the world in a playful way. If you tap on a picture or text with the pen, it plays different sounds, words or music. Children can work with it completely independently and receive many suggestions for playing and exploring.
