Welcome at GISW
At GISW, we are delighted to welcome our new Head of School, Ms. Annegret Jung-Wanders who is starting her tenure with us on August 1st, 2021. She comes to us after a short year of retirement before which she led the German School in Barcelona, Spain for 10 years. Ms. Jung-Wanders is familiar with our school as she has worked as a teacher at GISW for German, Social Studies and Ethics from 1992 to 1998. At that time, she was also responsible for Career & College Counseling (for Studying in Germany) and she was actively involved with the FRIENDS. She comes to us with experience and familiarity with many aspects of our school which she has updated and deepened by participating over zoom in many high-level meetings over the past months.
Ms. Jung-Wanders is enthusiastically looking forward to start working with our wonderful students and school community and to leading the GISW through the school year 2021/22. Mr. Deeley joined GISW on July 19th, 2021 from previously running own Maryland-based business
