Campus Tours:
Campus tours will resume once the new school year begins on August 20. We would be delighted to welcome you for a private tour. Please contact admissions@giswashington.org to schedule your visit.
First Day of School:
For School Entry Level (5-year-olds) and Grade 2 through 12: Thursday, August 20th, 2026
For Preschool and first Grade: Monday, August 24th, 2026

Campusführungen sind ab Beginn des neuen Schuljahres am 20. August wieder möglich. Gerne begrüßen wir Sie zu einer persönlichen Schulführung. Bitte kontaktieren Sie admissions@giswashington.org, um einen individuellen Termin zu vereinbaren.
Erster Schultag:
Für die Schuleingangsstufe (5-Jährige) sowie die Klassen 2 bis 12: Donnerstag, 20. August 2026
Für den Kindergarten und die erste Klasse: Montag, 24. August 2026
Morning Groups & Additional Programs
All enrolled preschoolers participate in the morning program
Morning Groups
8:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. - Groups for two-year-olds & Groups for three-to-four-year-olds.
In addition, you can enroll your child in one of these programs:
Morning Care
6:30 – 8:00 a.m. - Morning Care provides children ages 2–4 with a warm, calm, and age-appropriate start to the day through free play, creative activities, a light breakfast, and individualized care.
Afternoon Program
1:30 – 2:45 p.m. - In addition to nurturing their newly developed friendships and social skills, the children have the opportunity to improve their German language skills by attending the afternoon program.
Extended Care at the Preschool
3:00 – 4:45 p.m. - Children, who are enrolled in the afternoon program and need to stay longer.
Evening Care
4:45 – 6:30 p.m. - Extended Evening Care provides kindergarten children with a warm and relaxed end to the day through play, creative activities, a snack, and individualized care until pick-up.
