Our Oberstufe consists of grades 10 – 12. In addition to the German graduation exam (Abitur), our students obtain a U.S. High School Diploma.
Each grade is split in two classes, with each having their own homeroom where most of the main subjects are taught. For the Second and Third Foreign Language, as well as Sciences, Art and Music, students are taught in different formations outside their homeroom. The 10th grade represents the introductory phase to the Oberstufe, where two out of the three Natural Sciences and two Foreign Language courses are mandatory. At the beginning of 10th grade, students can choose between Physics or Spanish as a Third Language. In 11th and 12th grade, students choose four classes from the combined courses of Natural Sciences and Foreign Languages, whereby one course from each field is mandatory.
