Dear parents and guardians of Grades 5 through 12!
In the upcoming school year 2024/2025, we will once again be offering an extensive afternoon program for students in grades 5 to 12 at GISW. The program consists of a wide range of courses primarily conducted by our teaching staff.
The registration closed on August 8.

Please note that there is no guarantee of receiving all the courses requested as a lottery system will be employed in case of more registrations than available spots.
The official start of the afternoon program will take place after Labor Day. From the first day of school, we will be providing afternoon care for our students until 3:10 pm instead of offering extracurricular activities (AGs).
Signing up for a course in the afternoon program is not mandatory; however, if a student does not participate, then they must be picked up by their parents at 1:45 PM. Parents must also inform the coordinator (dbaker@giswashington.org) in writing if their child will not be participating in the afternoon program.
If students are registered for the afternoon program, regular attendance is mandatory. In the event of irregular attendance and/or unacceptable behavior, the school reserves the right to exclude students from the afternoon program.
If you have any further questions regarding the afternoon program for Grades 5 through 12, please feel free to contact Ms. Dunja T. Baker, the coordinator of the afternoon program for grades 5 to 12, via email at dbaker@giswashington.org.
Thank you, and kind regards,
Dunja T. Baker Coordinator of the Afternoon Program, Grades 5 to 12
