Shuttle Bus Service and Parking Pass Information

Shuttle Bus Service

Due to Zoning regulations established by the Montgomery County Board of Appeals, we have to ask parents/guardians not to drive or park on Chateau Drive Saturday mornings to drop off or pick up students.
The GLC provides a convenient solution with a Shuttle Bus Service free of charge from the Bolger Center at 9600 Newbridge Dr., Potomac, MD 20854 to the German international School and back.

PLEASE NOTE: For everyone, students as well as accompanying parents/guardians without a valid Parking Pass, the Shuttle bus is the default option! Both ways, to and from the school, you will be assigned to a specific bus, #1, 2, 3, or 4. Please make sure to ONLY take your assigned bus! Bus passes will be distributed at the Bolger Center on February 26, 2022, the starting day of in-person classes.

Chaperones: There will be NO chaperones on board. Chaperones will wait at the school bus stop for unaccompanied children age 4 to fourth grade and drop them off at their respective classes - vice versa at midday.

In the morning: Four yellow school busses will leave the Bolger Center at 8:40 am and circle between the Bolger Center and the school.

At midday: Busses will leave the school at 11:40 am and circle between the school and the Bolger Center.

Students who have not been picked up at the Bolger Center by 12:00 pm will be returned to the GLC office. Parents will then be notified.

Parking Permit

Due to Zoning Regulations by Montgomery County, the GLC must comply with those regulations in order to continue the German language program at the German International School. Drop-off or pick up by cars (with or without a valid parking permit) not remaining/parking on school grounds during class, can not be permitted. To park on the school parking lots, a valid parking permit is required.

Please read the following Parking and Traffic Rules and Driver’s Guide GLC:
