House for Rent / Sale - Looking For Housing:

My name is Julika Enslin and I am writing to you with a somewhat unusual request. I am 25 years old, did my undergraduate degree in political science in Berlin and originally come from Hesse.

It has been a dream of mine for a very long time to enroll in a Master's degree in the USA. In March, after a long period of preparation, I actually received an acceptance letter for my dream master's degree, the "Master of Science in Foreign Service" at Georgetown University in Washington DC. I am incredibly happy, because the program is extremely renowned and combines theoretical and practice-oriented courses in the field of foreign policy. As such, it exactly meets my academic interests and gives me the opportunity to deepen my focus of transatlantic relations, peace and conflict studies, and foreign policy and learn many new exciting perspectives!

In addition, I started very early to look for the necessary scholarships, since such a stay is of course very expensive and my family can unfortunately not support me to this extent.. I will be sponsored by the German Fulbright Commission during my stay and will receive a merit scholarship from Georgetown University itself, so my tuition fees ($59,000 in total) will be covered. Nevertheless, due to the high living cost  in Washington DC, I am currently looking for a not too expensive room either close to campus or with a possible bus/metro connection. For this I thought maybe I could write to you if anyone has any advice or even knows someone who would has an available room. I of course understand if this is not the case, but wanted to ask just in case and would also be very happy if you could forward the email if possible. I have also attached my CV and a photo of myself. If you have any questions feel free to write me anytime (julika.enslin@posteo.de) I would be very pleased to hear from you! Thank you very much for taking the time to read this e-mail. All the best, Julika Enslin
