Campus Tours:
Campus tours will resume once the new school year begins on August 20. We would be delighted to welcome you for a private tour. Please contact admissions@giswashington.org to schedule your visit.
First Day of School:
For School Entry Level (5-year-olds) and Grade 2 through 12: Thursday, August 20th, 2026
For Preschool and first Grade: Monday, August 24th, 2026

Für die Schuleingangsstufe (5-Jährige) sowie die Klassen 2 bis 12: Donnerstag, 20. August 2026
Für den Kindergarten und die erste Klasse: Montag, 24. August 2026

Ramin Schultz
We are proud of Ramin who graduated from DSW/GISW in 2008. Ramin is convinced that the international environment within our DSW/GISW school community enabled him to feel very comfortable with his decision to live and study in countries throughout Europe.
Pauline Fritz
Pauline Fritz, a GISW alumna (Class of 2017), currently serves on the board of the organization and has worked with us to create the NLA fundraiser.
Robert Alger
Robert Alger is a Czech-American sculptor and stone carver who currently resides in the Czech Republic. He graduated from the German School (DSW) in 1987 (Abitur).
