This year, another Makeathon is taking place in collaboration with our partner school in Höchstadt an der Aisch. Ten students from GISW are working together with ten students from Germany to develop three prototypes that can be useful in everyday life.
The first phase is already underway. After an intensive week of getting to know each other, lectures, brainstorming, and more, regular video conferences are now being held with Höchstadt. In monthly workshops, students are learning new skills such as soldering, 3D printing, and Raspberry Pi programming under the guidance of coaches from the University of Maryland.
In June, all participants will travel to Germany before the return visit takes place in November, where the prototypes will be presented during a "Night of Science."
