Hours for walk-in traffic during Summer Break:
Monday through Friday: 10 am to 3 pm
First Day of School:
For School Entry Level (5-year-olds) and Grade 2 through 12: Thursday, August 20th, 2026
For Preschool and first Grade: Monday, August 24th, 2026

A Warm Welcome to Our GISW Community
We look forward to welcoming all new and returning families to our annual Welcome Night on Wednesday, August 19, from 5:00–7:00 pm.
This special evening is an important milestone for our newest Griffins, giving students the opportunity to meet their homeroom teacher, get to know a few classmates, and begin feeling at home before the first day of school. For returning families, it is a wonderful chance to reconnect with friends and to share with incoming families helpful insights about the school, the area, and settling into life at GISW.
We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday, August 19, at 5:00 pm in the Main Building. Keep an eye out for additional information to be shared in the Vacation Mail in August.
