Class of 2026 - Graduation

On June 4, 2026, the German International School proudly celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026 in a heartfelt ceremony attended by students, families, faculty, and distinguished guests.

 

The program featured inspiring remarks from Head of School Carsten Apsel, student representatives Lucas Everett and Cornelius Eichhorn, and teachers Dr. Daniel Maier and Markus Fingerle, who reflected on the achievements, growth, and memorable experiences of this exceptional graduating class.

 

We extend our sincere gratitude to our honored guest speakers, Gudrun Engel, Head of ARD Studio Washington, and Achim Fabig, Embassy Head of the Department of Communication and Culture, for sharing their valuable insights and encouragement with our graduates as they embark on their next chapter.

 

The ceremony was further enriched by performances from the German Vocalists Choir and concluded with the awarding of the German International Abitur and the Maryland High School Diploma.
