Online Coaching to Strengthen Presentation Skills

“At ‘Youth Presents (Jugend präsentiert),’ students learn how to present complex scientific topics in an understandable way while strengthening their rhetorical skills. This is a valuable competence that remains relevant far beyond school,” says Christian Kleinert, Managing Director of “Jugend präsentiert.”

To help students further develop their presentation abilities early in the competition, participants in the digital state final received online coaching sessions from rhetoric trainers at the University of Tübingen.

Students participated in the state final for German Schools Abroad by submitting a video of their presentation. Throughout the competition, presentations were evaluated by a jury consisting of rhetoric experts, teachers, former competition participants, and scientists. The jury assessed the presentations based on the quality of delivery, including the effective use of body language and voice, the factual accuracy, as well as whether the design of the presentation slides was appropriate for the topic and audience.
